This session will highlight innovative uses of DHIS2 for improving education data systems and addressing the needs of out-of-school children in low resource settings. Educate A Child, in partnership with Rwanda and The Gambia, demonstrate how integrating DHIS2 with national education and health systems enables the identification, enrollment and retention of marginalized children and youth. The Aga Khan Foundation's work in Uganda's West Nile region showcases the transition from fragmented, paper-based or basic data collection tools to a comprehensive DHIS2-based EMIS.
